1. This turned out great! I kept the original finish and just cleaned and baked the cosmo out then five layers of tung oil.

You didn't do any more than de-cosmoing and the tung oil? Wow. Just gettting the bad stuff out and the good stuff back in/on has amazing results.

Yeah the condition is much improved to be sure. But it's still to blasted short!:p

I'm not an expert but it looks like your 91/28 has a 91 TS {troop special] stock. You did a great job of restoring the finish. I think I might try it on some of my C&R rifles.
