soldrin peep sight?

just saw a nice m96 for sale with a soldrin peep sight.
does anyone have any info about this sight? was it
a factory option or aftermarket sight? thanks cliff

As far as I know it was a sight that was put on by armorers to create a competition model if it's the sight I'm thinking of. All of these target sight equipped rifles that I've seen started as conventional 96 military rifles.

Well if the sights are there and they still work right up to about $250 to $275.

If it just a rifle that was drilled and tapped and they sights have been removed p $150 to $175.
