Italy was in North Africa before WWII started right? I'd guess in the same manner that the Germans trained in Spain I'd guess that they might have trained Snipers in Ethiopia, going as far as to outfit them w/ Italian Gear.

Answering whos2kno's question:

The value of this M 1938 cavalry carbine originally may have been estimated at $ 120 to 150. But in its present bubbaized fake condition, with the post-war scope and the US-made old Weaver mounts, it has been reduced to parts value. Maybe $ 30 to 40. SAD !
