I posted the above in case anyone is having problems finding 7.62x39 in stock anywhere.
This guy said he has 5 million rounds in his
warehouse. I ordered some today and was told
the order would be sent out sameday. The price is pretty good even if you dont go with the three cases @ .11 cents Oh, shipping was only 25 dollars to send it from UT to GA.
good luck

Sounds like a reasonable price for the ammo. Question though on the bullet weight... is it 132gr or did you mean to type in 123gr (standard weight for most 7.62x39 fmj)?

I cut and paste the information right
from vectorArms website. I ordered 3 cases for myself and a friend to split. When I get it I will post more information about the ammo.

Well, the ammo came and the total was
~184(158+26shp) for 1440 rnds. You will need to buy 3 cases to get that price.
The ammo came in well constructed wood cases with 36 boxes of 40 rnds(65 pounds). The boxes are very nice looking with a glossy cheetah skin design with the silloutte of a cheetah on the top. The website said 132 gr. but they are 123 gr and are FMJ in brass cases. Each box has a bar code on the bottom. This ammo looks as if it is ment for resale per box of 40. It is from Zimbabwe. The site is www.vectorarms.com (http://www.vectorarms.com) . They sell uzi's so follow the ammo link to the 7.62 ammo. @ .11 cents a round, plus he told me he has 5 million rounds in his warehouse, you can't go wrong with the price.
Oh, if 3 cases are a little much one case(1440) is .115 per round (~$165)

Ditto on the accuracy and reliability. If you take some out to the range, please post the results. Thanks!

All right fellas, You've convinced me. I called and ordered a case today. Living on the west coast, I always pay a premium in freight from the east. This sounds as good as the South African that I bought and is a couple of cents a round cheaper whan freight is considered. We'll soon see

I shot some of this a few months ago. Didn't really know what I had then, because I was pretty new to AK's. I believe it is either 122 or 123 grain. It is FMJ in a brass case, but berdan primed. Very high quality ammo. The local gun shop who sold this no longer has it and switched to German steel cased.

Still waiting on a review of this ammo... Does it have a sealed primer and a bullet sealant? What's the headstamp look like?

I'm just bringing this post to the top.
Has anyone used this ammo? is it any good? Clean/dirty, misfires?
Does anyone have any input on Cheetah?
Thanks

All right, all right:
I went to the range a fews days ago with 200 rounds of the Cheetah that I bought several months ago from the Utah supplier.
It shot great through my MAK-90.
Accuracy??
Who knows??
Every damn gun I own is a better shot than I am.
It was really clean, I mean REALLY clean.
I might order another case if I can scare up the money. My C & R came through today and I want to go out and REALLY EXERCISE IT.
Don't be timid. Get together with your buddies and buy several cases to get the price break!!

Thanks for the info. You sure convinced me to order some. I'm getting a SA-85M pretty soon, and now is a good time to stock up on mags. and ammo.

Unless the specs on this ammo have changed recently, it is actually 123 grain FMJ, not 132 grain. Says so on the box.
I called Vector to order some of their Cheetah ammo. First couple times, no one answered, then third time, Vector answered. The ammo guy is not part of Vector and they only take his messages.
Long story short, I left my message, phone, address, etc. Never heard from him. Also tried e-mail.... same result.
Maybe it's good ammo, but I won't do business again.
Check out this place for cheap 7.62x39!
Right now they[ve got 1000 rounds HP for $86.00 plus freight. It's over on GlockTalk under the Y2K banner. It's a deal called Buyers Club. I 'm going to give him a try.
