Purchased a case lot of Russian HP that we've all come to know and love. They're packaging them in heavy cardboard cases at 1,000 rounds a case, and about $145 (price went up $10 just last week alone!).
Wondering if any of you have noticed this ammo being repackaged so that instead of the usual white paper boxes (20-rnds) with the text on top of:
Rifle Ammunition, 7.62x39mm, 123 grain
Russian Hollowpoint
Manufactured For Hunting Purposes
Keep out of Reach of Children
Instead, they are in a black box with a grey wolf all over it, and much more 'Americanized' in terms of marketing. Very strange to open this stuff up and see some color on the boxes. It *is* the same ammo, however, steel case, shiny copper primer sealed with red paste as well as a sealed bullet crimp.
I'm confident this is the same stuff, but was curious if anyone else has seen these around the country?
