I went to the gun show this past weekend and the 7.62x39 ammo supply is getting low.

Hello McSniper,
Sad but true I'm afraid.
What were the prices per case that you did see? And what part of the Country are you in?
Take care, OUT

They're going for $120 for 1000-rds locally and I'm in GA. The supply is getting tighter for two reasons. First, Y2K and the longer import permit approval process for foreign ammunition. Klinton has instructed the agency responsible for import permits to use every bureaucratic maze they can throw up to delay the process. It went from 3-months to 6-months. The ammo is still coming in, there's just a lag now as importers have to plan on a six-month wait instead of a three. But, where there's a profit, there's a way. It just means that we're in a tight market until the pipeline fills up with six-month approval imports instead of the shorter three-month orders. Again, another reason to take your vote seriously next election.
