What exactly is this 'Wolf' ammo? Is this the corrosive hollowpoint being offered by several distributors like AIMSurplus. I have some Russian non-corrosive from the Ulyanovsk arsenal. Is this the 'Wolf' ammo?

It's new Russian production commercial ammunition. It's non-corrosive, new production, steel-cased, berdan primed, red lacquered ammo. Right now, it's some of the sweetest ammo out and is just the same Russian ammo makers dressing themselves up a bit to help them compete in the Capitalist commercial system we have. It's great new ammo that is good for long-term storage and hoarding. If you can get a good price on it, jump on it. I would.

Does anyone know of any online distributors that are offering cases of this ammo? I haven't seen it locally yet. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

I went to the gun show today and found some of that 'Wolf' ammo. I got the FMJ. Nice packaging, but don't see much of a difference from the other Russian stuff. BTW, the guy was selling this stuff for $114/1000, $249/box 20. Seems like a good deal to me.

I just returned from a gunshow in Portland, OR. Found Wolf at three different tables and each one thought he had the right price. $135.00, $129.00 and $125.00. When my feet wouldn't take it anymore I went back to the low priced guy and bought his last case. It is pretty for laquered steel case stuff.

Is there a source for "wolf" ammo on the net or mail order?

Haven't seen it yet. I have asked two major suppliers Cole and Discount Dist. and neither have it. Just the 'TCW' stuff or other. I'll post as soon as I see.

I just checked Cascade Ammo for the link to Wolf and it is gone. The good news is that they have updated their page.

I emailed Cascade to see if they did have the 7.62 in the wolf box, and if there we any delay in shipping. They said they have been getting some, and still some of the old box, so kind of hit and miss, on the orders, and could not say for sure what I would receive. They said eventually it will be all Wolf packaging.
As far as shipping they have been back ordering some, but said if I ordered today they thought it would ship in about 2 weeks or be shipped out of the July 10th shipment.
In case anyone was interested in buying some there. Looked like they had pretty fair prices. Narley
I am glad these ammo prices are starting to go back down, Y2k histeria, and ban histeria must be fading. Last gunshow I was too it was back down to $109 for "wolf" ammo.
As for Cascade I have been advised by several on this board in the past not to deal with them to slow delivery time. Take care all.

We could all be dead in two weeks. If it doesnt land on my doorstep in five days Im pissed. I emailed Cascade also they seem to dance around the Wolf thing. They said mostly wolf but sometimes other. Ill just deal with Classic Arms they have "laquered rounds" for the same price(no club to join such as Cascade) and I usally trip over the shipment one or two days before expected(UPS just drops things off on my porch including a $1200 les Paul guitar even if no ones home). Classic Arms lets no dust gather on their shipments plus it was only $4.50 for 45 lbs. of small arms ammo.
Looking for Wolf ammo? Well here it is the phone are below. They have 5.45x39 HP 146.99 per 1000, 7.62x39 $114.00 per 1000, and .223 145.00 per 1000.

I ordered some 7.62x39 "wolf" ammo from your source. FAST! Fax'd drivers license on Monday and it's sitting here on Thursday. Looks real good. I didn't know "wolf" was a brand name... Shipping ran a little over $13, but even with the credit card charge it only ran 13 cents a round
