Found a 1953 La Corona in a local pawn shop. All matching, no import mark in 7.9x57. Bore looks great, light surface rust on receiver. Bolt is a rust brown color and straight. Stock has been cut down and is missing nosecap and buttplate. The guy came down from $125 to $100. I was thinking it might be worth about $75.00? Where can I get a new stock, buttplate and nosecap. Opinions please. It's pretty close to my Turk in design so maybe it's not worth messing with in it's current state. TIA

Richard I think $75 is a fair offer. You are probably going to have to put $75 in it to restore it.Springfield Sporters or Nurmich might have the parts. This is not a rare rifle so parts shoud be available.I might mention that the bayonet lug takes an additional pinned on bayonet lug to accept the older style bayonets. This is typical for these Spanish Model 43s.They can be found with three different types of crest.I have two.One with eagle with down swept wings. The second one has the Facist crest which has crossed sword and Roman axe.The third one which I am still looking for is the air force version which has a small circle with out streched wings. Both of mine have bright bolts. What kind of crest does it have? The down swept winged eagle seems to be the most common.HTH

Thanks. IIRC it had the sword and ax.
