I haven't done it yet, but here is an illustration of what a 8mm clip looks like from the back:

The SMI 952 brass clip pictured above is a 6.5mm clip. The concave feed lips must be dremeled similar to the 8mm clip illustrated at the bottom.

I've seen posts where guys have opened up the 6.5 clip and rebent it to hold the 8mm round. Not sure how or how much. I'll look around some.

Now I have done that - it was not that difficult, as the case head of an 8X57 is not much larger than the 6.5X52. Simply bend the clip outward, insert 5 8mm rounds and bend it back inward
But the clip still wouldn't feed, because of the feed lip concave. The bolt gets stopped by the excess metal on a 6.5mm clip.
