All those records we're supposed to keep . . . I finally have a solid bench and can set up consistent range parameters.
Some loads are a LOT more accurate than others. I've found a 44 magnum load that shoots higher than the same bullet with more powder. It also groups much tighter.
I make notes about temp, wind, weather. How clean burning the load is, barrel fouling, perceived recoil.
What else?
Chronograph readings.
The bullet with less powder is moving slower so the barrel is recoiling up when fired and the bullet is in the barrel for a longer time. It exits the barrel when it is at a higher point(during recoil) than the faster bullet. This is why faster/lighter bullets hit lower on the target than slower/heavier bullets using the same sight settings.

In my reloading log I put the load data, chronograph data, any real good or real bad accuracy results, date tested and I note if there are any pressure signs on the primer such as flattening or begining to swage into the firing pin hole.
