My company gave the IT department, that's me, a $50 dollar gift certificate. (Instead of taking the entire team golfing.) So I bought a KA-BAR from Cabela's.
KA-BAR (http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jhtml?id=0006554513379a&navAction=push&navCount=3&indexId=cat20889&podId=0006554&catalogCode=QN&parentId=cat20889&parentType=index&rid=)
I got the non-serrated blade. It's not as sharp as I had hoped it would be. You can see grind marks on the edge, very minor, but I'll make it shine. It's got a very good edge, it just needs cleaned up a little. Not too bad for free!:D

I've always wanted a KBar. I may have to take a closer look at these now.
K-Bar's are nice knives.
Here's a set I put together(and made the box) and have on my wall.

Very nice. Somehow, I don't think mine will be in a case. I have a urge to use it for something. I've been looking around for something that I can cut up. I haven't found anything, but I think I might try to shave the cat.
Here kitty kitty kitty.;)

LMAO
That was good. Both of you.
3 of those are commemorative knives.
For use I use a Camillus that is a copy of the ka-bar and current issue for the military. The main differences are the blade is parkerized insteak of black epoxied and the leather handle and sheath are black instead of brown.
Here is the Camillus copy and the Navy Camillus Seabee knife.

How does it stack up to the KA-BAR? Almost identical? Cost?
BTW, the cat doesn't love me anymore.
The only differences that I've noticed are what I listed.
The cost was about $28 from Charlies surplus.
