Hello Mr. Sloan,

Do you have a timeframe of when the new style of AK buffers will be available? I currently use Buffer Tech/Wilson buffers which I cut down from the bolt carrier side of the buffer using a Dremel tool. I usually trim these to approximately 1/4 inch. I like the look of the new buffer style you're prototyping and the fact that it will be offered in materials of different hardness.

Thanks, Mike

I'm doing clean up on the proto-type now, probably a couple more weeks to have the mold made. I do have some 1st run samples left that I'll sell for $6.00 ea., I think I have 2 of the harder and about 5-6 of the softer in the green new-style AK buffers left.

Mr. Sloan,

I appreciate the information. I'm not in a real big hurry, so I don't mind waiting for the production units.

Thanks, Mike

Someone please fill me in. What is the difference in the new style and the old style?

It will be a poured/molded buffer using the same urethane as my sks buffers, it will have a tighter fit, look better and will be different shades of green for the different hardnesses.

My mold maker has the first new AK buffer mold made, after I check the fit out I'll send a few out for testing and then release them.

Randy, if you need someone who could put the hurt on one of your new protos, let me know. As a test engineer for a major corporation, and, as you know, an AK-nut, I think that I could really put one through the ringer. I still can't believe that the USPS lost the buffer that I sent you, but after this last two weeks, I am not surprised. I have receiver 3 bags of "we are sorry" from the postal service. Of all the mail to destroy!

Keep me in mind, thanks.
