Are these steel 30 rd. "brand new" Bulgarian magazines any good? Do they have a good finish, fit, and are they reliable? Or is these a better magazine choice?
MR.no name, Ive used the E german,Romanian,Hungarian Bulgarian, and the Norinco I've had excellent results in my Maadi. The Bulgarians fit nice and tight and have NEVER jammed! That is what you should look for in a mag. I have a lot of E.german mags because of their good price (9.95 each,at classic arms)but they're not as good as the Bulgarians (finish and not as tight).Either way,you can't go wrong with either one, they're AK mags, proven strong and used probably more than any other mag in the world, for the greatest weapon in the world! have fun and good luck. (p.s.get as many as you can)

The Bulgarian mags are some of the best AK mags to come on the market in some time.
They are heavy-duty and properly parkerized.
To tell you the truth, all AK mags are good EXCEPT USA brand mags.
Chinese, Bulgarian, East German, Romanian, Finnish, Polish whatever, they are all good fuctional mags. All 7.62.39 mags are readily interchangable.
Just look for good condition mags at a good price, that's all there is to it.
There is NO REASON to pay a lot for a 7.62x39 mag. There are NO mags that are worth twice what a "normal" mag costs. (As long as all we're talking about are 30 round mags) (Collectors items excepted)
For .223 caliber AK mags, they are not all the same or readily interchangable. The .223 mags are considerabley more expensive as well.

Mike
