Ok, I lied, the Jennifer Lopez thing was just to get your attention :D
Here is my situation, I am intersted in sporterizing a Turkish mauser using ATI's Styer style stock.

I really like the action of the Mauser and the history. But the stock is only for bent bolt actions. If you don't have a bent bolt you have to chop it off and add a kit. I am not keen on that at all.
So, my questions are:
1)Is there a bent bolt T-1938?
2)If so where can I get one for $80 or under?
Thanks for your brain juice!

You're in the wrong forums to talk about "Sporterizing" classic military rifles! That's about like discussing abortion techniques with the Pope in the Vatican!

Ok to answer a couple of your questions, first let me say that this forum kinda frowns on Sporterizing. Most people here will tolerate some talk about Turks.
First here's JLO....

Here's my ATI Turk 1938....

There's a couple a ways around it. Most of the people here knows that I do sell ATI products.
There are bent bolts out there, but whether or not it would fit a T38 is a different matter. Options...
1) You can buy a spare T38 bolt body and use that to either bend it your self or use the replacment kit that ATI has. Either way, you'll be saving your original bolt.
A) If you want to bend it yourself, I do sell forging kits, which consists of Forging blocks with the handle cutout in it along with the screw-in heat sink and a bottle of heat sink paste. You'll have to supply your own Oxy-acetylene torch. This is how I did mine in the picture.
B) The ATI replacement kit requires you to saw off the exsisting bolt handle and use the one supplied in the kit.
2) You only need to bend the bolt only if you are using a normal scope like mine. I'm using Extra High weaver rings and the bolt just clears. What some people are doing is using a pistol scope or long eye relief scope in true fashion like the original Steyr Scout Tatical rifles. Since these scopes are mounted forward of the action, the straight bolt will not be an issue.
Hopes this answers your questions. you can PM me about pricing.
Good Luck.
Oh yea, never mention sporterizing a Swede in front of Schuetzenman. :)
