I traded A friend for a couple of 30 round mags he had. one was new. It had a sticker on it "made in china" it has a rib back, but lookes diffrent. The ridges giong up and down on the sides are round not as well defined as the ones on other mags. At the top the hook that holdes the mag in, the one in the front had 2 circles (possably welds) on each side, and on the bottom the lines that are near the floor plate there are 2 long ones on each side, none on the back no short ones on the back or sides . on the others it has 2 long lines on each side 3 short ones on each side and 6 on the back buy the rib. so is this a chinez mag or what?

Yes, Chinese mags were very popular and then came the European style with the ribbed back. Word got back to china that people liked a ribbed mag better, so before the chinese import ban some Chinese ribbed backs came in country. look at the follower though and you'll see its chinese flat style compared to european bullet style.
