What is the best way to store ak mags? with the springs out wraped in wax paper? just curious. what is the best way?

If you're not up for that, there's no need to dis-assemble. But wipe them with oil first.

Been through this discussion before. For the old thread search for "Deep Storage". What I settled on was a big ass can of cosmolene from Brownells ..set in the sun to soften and brushed on wrapped in wax paper sealed in ammo cans. I just unwrapped a new Russian M44 stored the day is was assembled in 1946 just like that and it is perfect. Can't improve on that.

I think if I was going to hide them, "Put them in the ground for long term", then I would use the cosmoline. If its just in a storage locker for easy access, then oil and placed in a zip lock bag, in something sealed(ammo can, coffee can with lid) with a desacant.
