Does anyone have an image of the 1954 Ankara arsenal mark? It is different from the one seen on all the '40s rifles.

Don't think I have a picture of it but I have a 1954 dated one that is sort of a tripod looking mark. I'll have to take a picture of it on Wed. when I go to my store where it's stored.

That's the one. Guy at the gunstore tried to pass it off as an Afghani. I told him I had never heard of mauser contract rifles made for Afghanistan, but he wouldn't listen.

I think I'll head over there tomorrow after work and let him know the history of his rifle - at least I'll get a kick out of it.:D
