Anyone have info regarding RRA products? I am thinking about their LE Entry Tactical but I have no experience with the new Tacitical Sight/Handle config. it looks like the best of both worlds. The possibility of building one might be the best but, I am not sure about parts interchangeability with so many manufactures and I do not have real M4 specs. anyone have pics/specs other than the obvious select fire part?

I like the gun hate the stock, its to short for any real use, if you get the gun get the full stock or the pinned collapseable stock

Just got a new RRA 16" Carbine .($650.00) I previously owned two Colt ar's and this rifle is up to spec with the Colt. The only thing is they do not come with a chrome lined bore as standard issue but RRA will install one if you ask. I would get one while the price is still low, when the word gets out on how well built their RRA rifles are, I'm sure prices will go up.:jump:

Colt doesn't chrome line their bores anymore, either (too cheap, basically), except on milspec A2 and M4 barrels. Colt does still chrome line the chamber, and cut it to M16 spec (vice SAAMI .223) of all but their "match" barrels.
RRA normally doesn't chrome line their bores or chambers, but it is, as noted, available as an extra-cost special order item.

Also I've been reading that Bushmasters are starting to get back to their notorious purple receivers. It seems like every time there is a a demand for their guns the quality seems to slip.

I'm considering getting a Rock River Arms M4 Entry Tactical upper and purchase the lower when I can get the bucks. I've read here that their barrels are not chrome lined unless requested. The Gunbroker.com ads mention a Wilson M4 chrome moly 1:9 twist bbl. Does this mean the barrel and chamber are chrome lined?
And would the the M4 Tactical Entry upper and an A2 lower be a good choice. Most of my range shooting will be 100 to 300 yds.
Thanks,
Mick

Mickey27, a chrome moly barrel has chrome added to the steel to help aid against corrosion, however it isn't chrome lined. Some say that a chrome moly barrel is slightly more accurate than a barrel with a chrome lined bore. If you are looking for a RRA with a chrome lined bore, it should only cost around $30.00 extra to have them do it for you. As for the M4 tactical upper, I don't have experience with that model, but if RRA made it , I'm sure it's top notch...:)

Thanks sgtddaly - I appreciate the info. Now that I know there is a difference between chrome moly and chrome lined I'll go with the extra bucks for chrome lined.
