Just got my Cobra sight today, nice little sight. Only downfall is that althoug
h it works great indoors, It's a nice clear sunny day here and I lose the reticle in the sunligh when using it outide. Is this how it works, or is the battery low? Any comments appreciated.

Did you try turning up the intensity of the sight?

In bright sunlight the dot is still easy to pick up on my Cobra using the sunhood. I've heard that some of the 3v Russian batteries that come with the Cobra are somewhat weak. Try using the 3.6v lithium AAs. Do a search here and you'll find a thread showing where you can buy them for $4.95 each. HTH...

I just tried my brother's new Cobra on my SAR-1 and it is great. No problems with seeing the dot in the Florida sun.
Although I personally would rather have just iron sights, the Cobra is a nice addition to have.

I recently got a Cobra and side rail from AK-USA. I love it. Reticule brightness is ok under the Florida sun for me too. Its not a real joy drilling holes in the side of your receiver, I must of measured and re-measured a dozen times before I actually placed a drill bit against my AK. Side rail came out perfect. The cobra is a great addition for your AK.

I love my Kobra! my friend (who is more computer versed than i) calls it 'the idiots guide to marksmanship'..... maybe you'll never get 1" groups @ 100 yards with it (some have!) but its a cost effective solution to lazy plinking. my groups are now better than using iron sights, and I have never lost zero with my Kobra yet. Thats even after taking it off EVERY time I leave the range.

I ordered one from Tantal today. Can't wait to get it. The price is pretty good $148.00.

How do you adjust the tension on the Kobra sight's mount? I can't get the thing to fit snugly on my SAR-3. I'm really pissed. The K-VAR sight was so much easier to work with.
Help!!!!
