I know Navy Arms brought both the 5.56,7.62x39 RPK's in! I'am not sure who the other importer's were? :D

Which ones do you mean Recon?
I know Interordinance was selling Romanian kits a couple years back as well as a completed version. I don't know whether or not they directly import or buy wholesale from someone else.

Oops! I mean pre bans than the post bans. This was before the kits.

Hmmm, dunno much of anything about 'em. Wish I did as that would probably mean I had one!!:D I did try to check into that one pre-ban Norinco, but never got the pic or import info. It's one of those things that isn't "out of reach" but without a "look-see", just impossible to consider. Wish they had followed through, the 7.62 Norinco pre-bans are interesting enough (what with the odd fsb/bipod/threaded muzzle aspect  ).

You talking about the Norinco 87s that was for sale on this board awhile back?

Different rifle--but I did get a pic of that one sent, very nice.
I located a 5.56x45 Norinco RPK, price seemed very reasonable compared with other Norinco pre-bans. Folks said they'd send a pic but didn't.
Maybe it sold?

Id buy it if you tell me who it is. I love mine in 762. Plus you can put a folder on it, only seen folding RPKs in pictures.

I'll have to scrounge up their name unless Recon beats me to it. The ad says synthetic furniture so I have no idea if it's the standard 84s furniture, RPK style or ??

If only they could have sent me a pic...
Easier not to buy when you can't have a look. I'm thinking of doing another NHM when I finish the current one. It's looking good with T-man's stock set. I've tried the '74 style brake and the Chinese RPK brake, but I'm set to try a Krink style since they have a flash hider appearance. I'm thinking the Rom bakelite pg forend that K-var has on sale would match my stock too........... I'll know when I've got it "just right".
Also considered seeing if the guy who does the AK103's could do a mock up on a 20" Saiga---you could even go .223, I think the bipod would prove the most challenging. I'll bet with some ingenuity and an aftermarket 'pod it could be done.

Need more info, is it an NHM or a true preban RPK (87s is one type of preban)? NHM, I wouldnt go more than $450 for the rifle unless its been 922ed, drums are $75-100 and 40rders are $20 max.

Mines a Chinese NHM with Clubfoot stock with metal butt plate, got it from a dealer in 94, said it came that way and owner didnt want it anymore. Drums and or 40's it looks too cool. I saw another chinese clubfoot at a friends table at the Indy 1500, for $35 freaking should have bought it, where am I gonna get another?
