JLD Sistemas: Is paranoia setting in???

This is why I'm wondering: I'm noticing the sudden appearance of Sistemas at gun shops, shows, and classifieds. ALL OF A SUDDEN!!!:confused: the prices range from $429 20 $479.
I ordered my Sistema in May, and was told 3-5 weeks. I called to verify in June and July, and was told of some weird "customs problem" in Argentina.
I call JLD Monday am. A "Marcello"(sp?) tells me that HE has my C&R copy, but he THINKS Cruffler.com has my order!!!:mad:
Adam Firestone has NOT returned my e-mails or calls!!!
Guess what I'M thinking......................... :shiton:
I hope I'm wrong.

I faxed my order to JLD 26APR02 for the Sistema Colt Model 1927 V/G. Why did I deal directly with JLD, because Cruffler.com had different prices and grades than JLD website had and the tip off was dead links to JLD on the Cruffler.com website.

Good luck to you Joe I hope they "discover" your order and ship you a fine pistol.

I spoke with them last Friday. From what he said, they only got about 90 sistemas in - much less than they originally thought. I'm not sure if they meant 90 total, or 90 allocated to their onesie twosie C&R purchasers after any large obligations have been met (I believe they are actually the importers...) to other wholesalers. They said they did get a decent amount of the Hartford Colt's in, though, and were expecting more shipments of Sistemas.

Anyway, I had called to see if I was high enough up on the list to get the one I ordered. He promised a callback in 20-30 minutes. Didn't hear back anything all day, called back at the end of the day and he said he hadn't been able to determine for certain yet. He said he'd call back on Monday - I told him to send me a Colt if my Sistema was unavailable. He wasn't sure if he could do either at that point. If he had called back when he was supposed to, I would have placed the order for the Colt then, and it shouldn't have been a problem...

I still haven't heard anything back yet. I'm going to call back tomorrow, but I'm not getting my hopes up at this point.
