Well, I did not really intend on getting a third rifle yesterday, but a M96 just called to me. Sitting at the end of the rack behind some used shotguns, her threaded barrel caught my eye and I was in love. She is a 1900 Oberndorf, bluing on the receiver is pretty good but on the barrel almost non-existent. Bore is nice and the wood should clean up really well. She's not going to win any beauty contests, but you know, there is just "something" about her. :D

Obendorf Swed . . . rare. A good find. Me if the bluing was as thin as you say and it was mine I wouldn't hesitate to use Oxpho Blue paste on it.

and it so happens my package from Brownells arrived just this afternoon. ;)
