This is sure to get you kicked off of your favorite range but boy is it fun. No practical application but what a scream!
Hold the rifle pointed in a safe direction at waist height. Support the rifle with your off hand by the hand guards. Extend your trigger finger and place it against the trigger. Keep the rest of your shooting hand away from the rifle. Now pull the rifle into your trigger finger. If you keep forward pressure applied with your off hand the combination of that pressure and the recoil will put the rifle into a rythem that closely simulates full auto. This is the same concept used by the Hellfire trigger system. With a little practice you can dump an entire magazine in seconds! And it's LEGAL! You can't aim and I can think of no practical purpose for it but it sure is fun!

I hear what you're saying - a friend recently purchased a 'Tac-Trigger' at a local gunshow, and we were disappointed with the contraption. It was basically an improvement on the HellFire of years ago, but the mechanism forced you to push forward on the 'front trigger' to fire the first round, and then the recoil would push your finger into the *real* trigger, firing a second round, repeat as necessary - best speed was about 300-400 rpm, but no aiming, and no control. Save your money, if you ask me.

Plus, it made us both nervous as hell to be anywhere near that trigger!!!

It's funny you mentioned that, LD. I was just looking over that particular contraption in the catalogue I received from FireQuest. I was wondering if anyone had tried it and if so how it worked. Guess I'll stick with semi-auto until I can afford that $30,000 M-60...hehe...

just tried your "technique". Boy oh boy....it was fun but hard on the ol' ammo supply. My friend and I each tried it once. Both of us dumped 20 rounds in seconds.
Just to echo you.....tons of fun, but no real control or aiming capabilites.

I use a similar tactic. Instead of holding the trigger finger straight and letting the recoil take care of the rest, I straighten my finger and pull of the trigger as fast as I can. Two tricks to doing this are:

--Hold the trigger with your middle finger

--Instead of just moving your finger back and forth as fast as you can, move you entire arm. The recoil will help speed up the momentum

Last time I did this at the range, I emptied a 30 round clip in 4-5 seconds, and after everybody finished watching me, one guy told me that I should join the Army. :-)

What i do with my Ak-47 is i should my rifle and jiggle my wrist arm and hand into a motion. i empty a 10 round clim in about half a second. or i stiffen my finger and make it feel like i am scratching the trigger . either way i have exelent results on cans and bottles. if i try to contry the rifle i can get 2-3 inch groups if i am very careful i can fet 1 inch but that means i am slowed down. i need to get some more high cap clips or a different rifle to try.

You Are The Man!!! If I get 2" groups aiming I'm lucky. I'm just skeptical enough that I'd like to see you do it -- say, put 30 rounds into the END of a soup can without touching the sides.

i hear ya but i have also had the side of years of practice being a sniper too!
you should see me with a single shot!
it took me a while to get the hang of the wild will spray and pray method. just load a few tracers and then see where you puttin em
and go from there

In the olden days, M1 carbines would
climb up and away to the left when shooting.
Turn the weapon to the left when shooting
to help control it with rapid fire.

Place your index finger just above the
trigger/trigger guard and use it to aim
with and pull the trigger with your
middle finger.

Works for the greese gun for close range.
Paint ballers use that method for shooting.

Also, you can also hold the gun with the
weak hand index finger used to point the
gun at the target for improved accuracy.
I have not personally done this last tip,
but we can point accurately with both
fingers, so what works for the right,
should also work for the left.

Man SniperSVD, if you can get 1" groups while "jiggling" your wrist and scratching your trigger, I'll wager that I would be very impressed with a single shot display of your long years of sniper training. I'll bet that that you're accurate enough that your bullets will often not even hit the paper because the group is so small that it has (like a "black hole") become a "singularity" having no size at all. Please don't endanger all of us here on Earth by casually toying with such powerful quantum laws. Who knows what kind of chain reaction you could set in motion?
Hehehe-- just messin' with you kiddo http://www.ak-47.net/akcgi/smile.gif. You really need to get out from behind that keyboard more!

nahh, M60's usually sell for between 8 and 12 thousand.. 30's waaaaay out of line. Though, you might be closer to 30 if you figure in all the ammo, links, loader (unless you buy it in belts), a couple extra barrels, etc etc.. im sticking with semiauto until i win the lottery http://www.ak-47.net/akcgi/smile.gif
