Actually around here there are people waiting for TSHTF scenario.. Personally I'm not holding my breath..
OTOH?
I live in NC. This winter I spent 4.5 days without power or phone due to the snow storm of the century. Being prepared made those 4.5 days, warm, well fed, and comfortable.. Didn't take much to be prepared, but it does take a lot out of those that aren't.
