Interested in a FL Defensive Carbine Club

We are very interested in setting up an informal defensive carbine club in the North/Central FL area. We have lots of ideas, and even more enthusiasm. Have been shooting IDPA for more than a year and would like to participate in something like a IDPA with carbines. Setting up friendly and fun environment to run realistic defensive tac drills to test and sharpen our skills and more important, our defensive tactics with AK's, AR's, Mini 14's etc... If others have the same enthusiasm, we should get together and talk more...

Hey, people who are interested in this idea, maybe we can get together on a specific date over at the AK47 chat room. Because I work nights, best times for me are LATE at night, like after 1 am. I know this may not work for others so additional times could be any day before 2:00 pm. Maybe a Sat or Sun morning? I have a few bites over at the AR15 board as well. We can make this happen with enough interest and effort. -Neil

Hey all,
Anyone who was at Sunday's shoot in Ocala, sorry we missed you. No avoiding it though. Maybe we can start thinking of a tentative date for our first Florida Defensive Carbine Club get together. How about Saturday, June 24th or Sunday June 25th at Lake City, 9:30 am? Pack Rat, if you have those reactive targets by then, bring them, if not, we'll get by. Anyone who can come, if you have any steel targets, they would be a big help too. Justin and I will bring all our gear as well. If anyone has one of those competition timers, that would be ideal. If not, we'll use stop watches until we can get ahold of one. Any feedback from all of you silent people on the list? You think you all can make it one of those days? If so, which is
better. If not, suggest an alternate. Hope to hear from all of you soon...
