Guess that this is not new,but it is to me!Took the SAR2 to the range and had 3 double taps out of 180 or so rounds.A buddy of mine had it happen once.I've never had this happen on any of my AK's and guess that it is just the way the trigger group fits.Just installed Buffer Technologies pad-Hope that helps-Any suggestions?Thanx!Gearhead

Soumds to me like yuou have a worn or faulty sear. For some reason it is not engaging fully, and perhaps a few of teh rounds you were shooting were a little hot, and the faulty/worn sear would not hold it. Alternatelly, it could be that a few rounds were underpowered, and engaged teh bolt far enough back to reload, but not quite enough to engage teh sear (very doubtfull) First thing I would have checked it teh sear.

I'm getting reports from many about this problem, which seems to be occuring with rifles that have US made trigger parts. It seems even more prevalent in rifles that have a mix of AK-47/AKM and AK-74 parts. The US parts are all AK-47 spec, from what I have seen. A friend of mine has had a Saiga rifle (AK-74 style fire control system, albeit with a shaved off trigger finger spur) modified to mount a thumbhole stock, and the trigger/disconnector were changed out with AKM parts so the standard trigger position could be used. he also has double-taps from time to time.
