What is the proper way to sight in an 7.62x39 AK at 25 yards?
Should the round impact the point of aim or should it be inch above, below, etc???
For example - to sight in an AR-15, just make sure that it hits the point of aim at 25 yards.
Same question for sight in at 100 yards.
Thanks.

i would site it in at 25 or 50 yards to get it on paper, and then get it pin pointed at that range, then move to 100 and see where it is, and then pin point it at 100, i think i would leave the sites set at 100
but you could also bring it back to 25 or 50 and see where it shoots and make a determination for that range and just adjust your site pic, or some how mark the height setting at each distance for a quick adjustment when changing your shot distance
(but i think on the AK it would hard to actually mark the front site pin for each distance) never heard of it being done
i think i would leave it at 100 and adjust your site pic at shorter ranges, if you need to
this was a (GUESS), so im sure others have a better idea with this than i do --HTH

and on the 8th day GOD made the AK-47 and saw that this was good

Chris1NY, the home page of AK-47.net has a FAQ for sighting in the AK at 25yds/m.
