Will the East German Rain Camo pattern 3 AK74 mag pouches work with AK47 mags?
Specifically the 3 mag pouch with accessorie pocket and grey straps.
you can see these on page 70 of the Current Sportsmans guide "HQ" catalog.

Is 4 for $4.47 (new) a fair price?

i know the 4mag EG pouchs work with AK47 mags

so im sure the 3mag pouchs should work also
(i thought the 3mag pouch were for 40 rnders, but i could be wrong)

and YUP that sounds like a good price --HTH

I also have a question about those. I have a four cell pouch with the accessory pouch and it looks exactly like the one in the Guide catalogue. The ad says that it has
2 1/4 inch belt loops and will fit most pistol belts. Mine however, does not. I also remeber that someone on this board stated that the newer ak-74 pouches with the web closures (no metal on the grey material) are the only ones that fit US pistol belts. Still maybe the guide is selling a rare animal? But for 4.97 for a four pack I think it is worth getting. Thanks for bringing to my attention AR15fan.

the 4 cell EG rain drop mag pouches WILL fit on a USGI pistol web belt --BUT they wont fit over the buckles, and they will fit snug

i heard that the EG belts for these mag pouchs are about the same width as the US belts, but they have a smaller buckle

i was thinking about NOT putting these on the pistol belt and just putting them on a sling and over my shoulder
or trying to figure out some other method of using these without putting them on the belt

i heard one guy on here cut holes in the loops and put in alice clips so they could be put on the USGI belt easier

any other ideas ?

IF YOU TAKE A HEFTY PAIR OF PLYERS AND DISASEMBLE THE BELT AND IT WILL GO ON PERFECTLY..THEN REASEMBLE...IT'S HEAVY BUT WHAT THE HELL.
