Well it was a buddy who broke it the first time. He forced the Chinese SKS trigger group in , while the safety was in the off position. Bent something out of whack. Being the true gentleman he is, he finds me another trigger group. I pop this one into the gun , then toss the SKS into the safe. There it sits for a year or so. A buddy offers me some AR-15 mags for the SKS, I say sure. I figure I should clean up the SKS. While putting the trigger group back in I do the SAME THING.
THE PROBLEM: I load the mag and let the bolt slam forward. The bolt strips a round, chambers it and allows me to fire ONE round. The bolt cycles, strips a round, chambers it but the gun will not fire! The hammer appears to be following the bolt forward. It is'nt cocked.
Is the disconnector bent? Is the safety the problem?
Any and all comments, flames or help truly appreciated.
