On bayonets. I found a blade that fit my chinese sks perfectly, but I have heard that only early rifles used the blade, the spikes both long or short did not fit the handguard properly, does any one know year range for rifle 1666xxx, have two more from same batch never fired may sell, again they are full length rifles that I have had for 10 years that were packed in cosmolene, dark, pretty wood.

If it fits and deploys properly, why worry, unless youre a historical accuracy buff on your rifles like I am. If you just want a bayonet, the blade bayonets are more swank on an SKS in my opinion. Spike bayonets are abundantly available for the Chinese SKS's. Post pics of your SKS's, I'd like to see yours if you don't mind. I'd reciprocate if I had a digital camera or a scanner. http://www.ak-47.net/akcgi/smile.gif

I too had a Chinese that took the blade perfectly. Is old it to get my Armscorp AK-22 so when shooting my other rifles I could run out of the big stuff and still plink with the AK.22 for hours for cheap.
