Got one a few weeks back. It was in very good shape 100% blue,
serial number on barrel different than on receiver, but a very good bore, sight matched receiver although. The bolt did not match, came with cleaning rod and a bayonet(non matching)
the stock was walnut and looked new? no finish on it at all. Rifle came in with only some light grease on it, although stock was pretty oily, had to really bake it to get it all out. Overall a very good rifle. It cleaned up very well and stock looks very good with a tung oil finish. Sorry but I don't have any pictures yet.:(

I think a lot of the Turk Mausers are mismatched, as far as matching numbers parts-wise. They would tear them down with all the parts thrown into a pile. When they were cleaned, they just replaced whatever parts they grabbed onto their rifles. It shot OK, so they really didn't care.... LOL!!
A buddy of mine said they did that in service, too. After a day of firing at the range, they would all disassemble their M-16's and throw all the parts in a pile in the showers. With all the shower heads on, full-force and just hot water running on them for half an hour (while some of the guys stood watch), they were spick and span. Then everybody just grabbed enough parts to make a rifle again, and went about their business of wiping them off and oiling them back up. He said their CO never did figure it out... LOL

My first c&r purchase was one of the vg-exc turks. It was in almost new shape, there was one chip out of the stock way up on the handguard. The bore was spotless and shiny. If I was going to buy another turk that would be the one I would get.

I got one about a year ago. The stock was the rough, unfinished style which I sanded and applied BLO to. Blueing was 100% though it had been reblued over a few pits. Bore is nearly new. I'll check when I get home but I think everything is matching except the bolt. The mag floorplate was bent ever so slightly which made taking it off and on a bitch. I had to flatten it a little with a piece of wood and a hammer. Only took a couple of whacks, left no marks and it works great now. Well worth the price IMO.
