timkel will now be known as the pc wizzard ..... I bought mine from a gun shop in Troy Ohio ( rapid fire ) I don't know where Tod ( the owner ) got the kit from .. the recever is from ITM arms co.
I bought it completed for $425.00 and I have also bought extra mags 2- 75 rnd drums 2- 40 rnd mags 1- 30rnd and 1- 10rnder

$425.00 seems like a good price for a RPK.

yea i was suprised to see them at the gun and knife show starting at $600 and going up to $1000

intresting brake usage on both pieces. the laminated stocks look real nice on the rpk. The second best part of the pic is the Notre Dame flag go irish;)

the muzzle brake on the rpk is a one peice unit , i dont see any welds on it but i dont see any rivets either?? the sa-2000 has a welded brake........you can see better pics of some of the firearms by clicking the link ( my rpk ) on this page.

the other ak in the above pic is an SA-2000M thats the factory welded on brake that came with the rifle . the SA-2000M was discontinued becuse it was not a popular variant, it came with a 10 round single stack at the feed lips design the does not let you use the ( hi - cap ) mags. I took mine the a gunsmith and had him ( open it up ) to BATF spec's I also had him do the wood stock to make sure it was not breaking the law.I don't know all the in's and out's with the reg's myself so it was easy to let a pro do the work , they did a great job on it. it's still the best shootin ak I have.
