Another 96

Just put $ down on another 96, 1906 Gustaf. It looks a lot like the first elm stocked one on House of Karlina's website. This is a Christmas present from my wife. :) Damn these are addictive.

This one I will devote a whole roll to. A guy in the shop commented that "He didn't know that the Swedes used laminate stocks on their rifles." I informed him that they didn't. :eek: The grain on this elm is immaculate, many small knots, and the bluing is 98%. I truly doubt if this one saw any service at all. If it weren't for one ding from a bolt handle, the stock would be 100%

Picked up the Swede today, couldn't wait any longer, and immediately rubbed it down with lemon oil. Will take pics tomorrow and have them up by this weekend. It is really beautiful, I find myself just sitting and gazing at it like a deer to headlights.:D

Right on Smittylite,
I have mine under the tree, I can't wait to clean her up a little. I think I will have to get the shorter version (38), possibly that Husky I mentioned in my thread.
