Russian bipod question

Will a Russain or East Bloc bipod fit on a Norinco NHM 91? Can it be fitted to one? The Norinco bipod sucks on my new NHM. Who has RPK cleaning rods?

Yes it will fit.
But its not a easy mod.
Legs must be shortened about 1" or so.(welder)
The ID of the bipod swivel must be opened up a few thousands.(dremel)
Front sight must be removed and modified somewhat.(dremel)
A spacer is needed to go on the barrel before the bipod.(lathe)
If you get a russian bipod. You will see what is needed to do.

I got a Russian pod from KVar, its not a top open like the NHM, it is a permanent part so the FSB needs to come off in order to put the pod on.:(

hhhhhhhhmmmmm.............. if the legs would lock in postions on this Chicom pod and not swing around when it's folded, I wouldn't have a problem with it. Sounds like a lot of work to put a Russain pod on it.
