Any of you had any problems with the aftermarket 75rd drum. Was out today, and this was the first time I used this drum in my SKS.

The problem was that when the mag was installed the first round would slide into the chamber, after it was fired the slide would run the shell into the back bottom of the shell chamber. Played with the tension of the spring thinking not enough of to much, niether made a difference.

Looks like to me there is not enough angle of the mag to mate with the ramp of the chamber.

Anybody with any input would be appreciated, for I am a tad bit stumped and am going to get rid of the drum, though if I can get someother ideas I would prefer these first then the disposal of the drum last.

Thanks all, appreciate it.

sounds like you bought one of those drums that are for the AK and have the top part welded on for use in a SKS
for your problem-- how well does it work with the orginal 10 rnd mag in place? any probs ? cuz it almost sounds like the ejector is not working to toss out the round, but if it works with the 10 rounder in place then its the drum, maybe try a USA 30 rnd mag and see what happens, and i would also work the action by hand slowly with a empty or dummy round to see where it hangs up and wont kick out-- other than that i dont know --HTH
