Take your bolt apart clean the firing pin hole and the firing pin. Make sure you don't put it in upside down. When you put it back togeather it should be loose and slide back and forth easly. This should cure your slam fire problems. Keep the firing pin clean. I take my bolt apart and clean the firing pin every time I clean my rifle.

I'm embarrassed to admit it, but my SKS went full auto on me (20 rounds) the first time I shot it at the range. When I took it apart, I found that the firing pin was frozen forward causing it slam fire until it ran out of ammo. Now I clean and double/triple check to make sure the firing pins on my SKS's are all free floating before I shoot them. Good Luck.

Your best investment on your SKS is to go by a tobaco shop and pick up a pack of nylon bristle pipecleaners to clean out your pin hole when you have it apart. Also pick up a can of GunScrubber to squirt into the pinhole everytime you clean it without breaking the bolt down. You still need to break your rifle's bolt down once every year for a complete and thorough cleaning, even if you use GunScrubber. Have fun.

Norden, did you ever get this corrected? If so, would you share w/ us what the cause was?
Thanks
