I have read were you say to use 3v lithium bat. in the older2.5v scopes, but when I talked to the people at nightvision web, they say 3v won't fit??(to small).

I should clarify my response. If you have the scope that uses the short battery, original type batttery, you are ok. If you have the new style PSO that uses the AA battery they you are probably out of luck. My apologies for not asking which version of scope you bought.

Radio Shack sells 3v AA-size batteries for computer motherboards. Whatever a motherboard is. Anyway, that's where I get lithium batteries for my first-generation Kobra.

I changed out my bulb with the newer 1.5V LED and put on a 1.5V AA adapter cap from Tantal. The battery charge lasts about twice as long with the LED.

I found a guy that sells bat. adapters for the old style scopes. You can use a 3v or 1.5 . I like it because it lets me keep the original apperance of the scope. He is at mak@eznet.net

PeeWee-Do you have a link to a pic?

And no i haven't left the battery on to find out how long it will go for, but I'll try it this week, it''ll only cost me a AA battery.

I tried to post some pics,,,,but not successful yet,,,it looks just like the 2.5v bat- but it is round plastic w/ copper button on one end and hollow, you can put a 3v c/3 type bat. in or use a double stack of the watch type bat. for dif. volts. or a single 1.5 v bat.w/ the provided spacer in the kit.
