I just ordered another Swede from Empire Arms. It's a Model 96, 95%, bore disk 2, Walnut stock. Dennis had a good price on it (for this condition). $200. It'll be my second Swede and second M96. After I get it, and clean it up I'll post pics of both of them.

Here are the links to the photo albums.

I bought a 1910 M96 from Samco about 2 months ago. It was rated as a "very good" rifle by Samco. It is in nice shape. Buttplate and bolt are mirror and have no corrosion, the stock has numerous minor impressions and the blue is about 85%. Bore is excellent. The stock SN doesn't match the receiver, though, so my bore disk of "0" isn't really accurate, I think. $200 shipped.

I just got this 1911 M96 from Empire Arms. Quite a nice rifle. The stock appears to have been refinished because it looks really good with a nice even gloss. There are numerous small impressions and a couple of large scrapes. The bolt has just a few small corrosion spots, the bore is outstanding, the bore disk is marked "2". The buttplate is very worn and dark. The blueing is at least 97%. Overall another very nice rifle. $211 shipped.

I'd have to say these are both about 85% overall. Not too bad for some 90 year old rifles of this quality. I'm on the 3rd coat of tung oil on the 1910's stock and it's really starting to look smooth.

They look super fine. Have you shot them yet?

Not yet, I need to get some ammo for them. I also need to get some prescription glasses. My contacts just don't do the job when shooting with iron sights at 100 yards (the don't correct for an astigmatism). I need that laser-sharp image that only glasses will provide.
