The serial number range is 1976 production
and it should be the spike varient ? the
laminated stock with plastic handguard is
very unusual on a Chi-Com SKS but Ive heard
of a few with this unique stock which resembles laminated wood as seen on East-
German,Soviet and North Korean SKS. The
"triangle 26" is arsenal mark, are the last
five digets of the serial number matching on
the laminated stock ? a Chinese SKS with an
original laminated stock is rare but I have
seen some come in from the middle east with
laminate stocks. Arsenal 26 made some of the
finest examples of the SKS and are usually
made with all milled parts and screwed in
barrels. The importer's marking on the receiver tells me it was one of the late
imports from the 1990's

Hello Norden, the information I know is from
reading books and talking to Vietnam military
collecters and gunshows. You have a nice rifle ,now you need a spike bayonet to make it complete. I like to keep mine as original
as possible like they are used in the military. IF your interested in the history
of SKS's here are a couple of good books:
The SKS Carbine by Steve Kehaya & Joe Poyer,
or The SKS Type 45 carbines by Duncan Long.
