My brother wants to sell his Chinese SKS. It is a post ban model with the bayonet lug ground off. It has a stamped trigger group. Any suggestions as to what he should ask? It is in VG-Excellent condition, very few rounds put though it.

Hello.
I have seen them selling for $250.00 to $300.00 in my area. They may even be higher in some locals.

Take care, OUT

Wow...I never realised that they were going for that much, in East Texas where I am at the moment, they are going for $175 to $200 for Chinese and $225 to $250 for the Russians.

You don't say whether it has a milled reciever and threaded barrel or not. if you look where the barrel meets the reciever there will be a milled flat spot on the barrel if it is threaded and screwed into the reciever. E-mail me the description,I'm in east Texas and might be interested.
Thanks,peecmkr45@aol.com

peecmkr45,
I am sorry, I don't know at this point what his SKS is I don't have access to it right away. I will check with him and get back to you. When you talk about the flat spot on the barrel where it meet the receiver are you refering to on the top of the barrel under the sight trunion?

Peecmkr45,

What part of East Texas are you in? I just picked a basically brand new Norinco here for $175. There was a Russian that was suppose to be in excellent condition for $225. A few months back some guy gave away a Chinese SKS for $135. I called the guy the same day the paper was out, but it was already sold. Somebody got a good deal out of that.
