Leftist Against Gun Ctrl

This is a wake-up call to all those dormant leftists out there who have remained quiet all this time while the conservative elements have had a hey-day by referring to the corporate-capitalist media's conspiracy as a "liberal" (let alone "communist") one. I don't think there is any disagreement on either side that the bourgeois media has indeed stepped up its propaganda campaigns against the gun in recent years. The issue is: for whose benefit?
People, the proponents of gun control here in America are anything but socialist. They are very profit-driven, very capitalist-oriented, very big-business-friendly. The sobering fact of the matter is (for economic libertarians) that capitalism is growing increasingly incompatible with democracy and popular concession. As citizen-armies give way to "professional" armies run by the capitalist state, its only a matter of time before what remnants of democracy we have left in this country are completely eroded.
We need to quit looking to the U.S. Constitution as some sort of "saving grace" in regards to gun "rights." Just as easily as the Constitution was amended by the Second Amendment, it can be amended back by congressional action. With the increasing trend of Republicans acting as spitting images of the Democrats, don't count on a Republican-controlled legislature NOT repealing the Second Amendment. Throwing money to the NRA is like pissing in the wind.
The Constitution and the federal government were formed to protect private property interests. As wealth continues to concentrate into the hands of the few, as the middle-class continues to erode, two classes are once again emerging: bourgeoisie and proletariat.
We, the lower- and middle-classes are the target of all gun control measures. The upper-class with its private corporate security and bodyguards, the state with its military/police legions don't have to worry about being subject to gun control legislation. (I needn't point out the hypocrisy of so many gung-ho gun control senators who have no problem with their own ARMED private bodyguards for themselves and their fellow elites...)
We need to wake up and realize what's happening before its too late. Quit blaming "commies" in the media, quit calling California the "People's Republic" (gun control was first enacted in California in reaction against the Marxist-Leninist Black Panther's who were strong advocates of popular gun possession in the hands of the working class for Christ sakes!)
Wake up and face the music. Gun control is fascist corporate tyranny in this country. Its here, and its now, and hiding behind the Constitution doesn't mean a damn to those who have made their fortunes from it.
Oppose gun control because its common (people) sense, not just because "the Second Amendment says so." The Second Amendment could be gone tomorrow. By the same capitalist forces that created it, in an earlier, different time.
Arm yourselves, people, and prepare for inevitable class conflict! Support gun advocacy groups if you must, but in the end, as the late Chairman Mao so eloquently said: "ALL political power ultimately comes from the barrel of the gun."
All power to the people!
