2002 was a good year for sniper rifles from the former Yugoslavia. Just managed to remove the several pounds of grease from the M-76 today, now I have a nice set.
AKE please let the board know when you get the 8X scopes in the 76 could use an upgrade.

If you don't mind me asking where'd you get the scope and rings for the M48? I have two of them I will be looking for rings and scopes before too long.

AKE, the board moderator here, is the US factory rep for all of these scope and mounts.
Drop him a line I believe he’s expecting his next shipment soon.

I do expect more scopes and mounts shortly. You will have to contact me to get yourself on the list and let me know your needs.

There are more people ahead of you though.

Here's a picture to tease you a box of new mounts for the Mauser Model-48.

Sorry, get a "you're not authorized..." message when I try to look at the M-48 mounts.

What's the story on the scope and mount on the SKS? Can't see very clearly, but doesn't appear to be your standard cheapie Chinese scope & dustcover mount.

I was fortunate in finding a German-made replica of a Wermacht lever-detachable mount for a M-98 Mauser, with 1-inch rings, on ebay some time ago. Mounted on my M48-A with a Russian 4X scope with post-and-picket reticule. Found by searching the 'net that the Croatians didn't bend the bolt when mounting a scope on a M-48, they simply ground it flat 'til it cleared the scope (works and actually looks good!). Also in the course of that search found that there's really nothing "correct" for mounting a scope on a M-48: The Croatians simply cobbled together whatever was available and whatever worked.

Smegma-

Here's what the Zrak scope rings look like.

If your interested, Kebco has those rings in stock for $150.00.

check out: www.kebcollc.com

Eventhought they aren't advertising them, Kebco has the Zrak M76 6-power scope avaliable as well. They only have a couple left. They were offering them for $500, for a scope and ring combo set. $425 for the scope alone.

Krom-

Out of curiosity, I e-mailed kebcoll to find out more info, and they replied that they are out of Zrak M76 scopes.

I have a good friend who is going to Bosnia for a one-year job, and I'll have him do some looking for me when he gets there. Too bad it's to much trouble to bring back receivers, bolts, barrels, etc. or I'd have him look for some of those. I've got a G.I. in Germany sending me a real Yugo plastic grip that was a take-off from a captured rifle. It's supposed to be in good condition. I have a repro on one of my AKs, and I really like it.

I had a lengthy conversation (1 hour) with the owner of Kebco, Ken Bush, and according to him, he's heading back oversea in the very near future, to look for some more toys.

Regarding the M76 scope, that may be true. The last time I talked with him, he only had a couple left and was going to stop advertising them. He may be finally out?
