Here's my Spanish lady, this may not be a CETME, but it is a relative. A unique addition to my collection.

A Spanish Destroyer Carbine in 9mm Largo. This is my latest project. You know me, always searching hi and low for the latest project. (And I still take forever to get to the other ones)

Despite how nice it was wrapped up for transit, the box while stuff with peanuts still managed to get a big rip/hole in it. UPS just loves to mess with these boxes.

This is the $99.00 rifle with one magazine that SARCO is selling. It would've gotten here sooner, but they did manage to "misplace" my C&R so I had to rush another one out to them. I also ordered 4 more mags for $20.00. This rifle seems to be in Good condition and the bore is at least Fair, once I scrub it, I'll know more.

I spoke to TJ at SARCO and he was helpful (as usual) and gave an accurate description of the rifle. I knew what to expect.

Now BEFORE you rush and call SARCO to order one, bear in mind they are all MISSING the extractor. Otherwise it's complete. I found a gentleman in Oregon who makes new extractors for $25.00 shipped.

I can tell you the original finish of the stock is BLO, cause I can smell it. :) There is a few spots with a little rust, but nothing that can't be taken care of. Most of the metal still has very strong bluing left. This is import stamped by Century.

Here's some pictures for now...

Good deal Lp. What's the ammo situation on these? Didn't Aim have mags for this rifle?

Neat rifles I love mine. They're great out to 50-75 yards. I got mine from AIM when they came in a couple years ago. AIM was selling the mags for $2.95 each but they dont list them anymore.

I found ammo from a couple different places but they were off the wall and I can't remember who they were now. I think AIM even had some they may still have some just not advertised.

Ammo is not a problem with these. 9mm Largo is still plentiful.

Surplus International (SILLC) in ME has tons of it, L.C. Enterprise and SARCO still has some.

SILLC has the best selection of different surplus types. I'm not sure, but I think Starline still makes unprimed brass for these.

I think I read somewhere that these will also chamber 9mmx23 Winchester rounds. If that's the case, I would just load them to Largo specs.

I discovered a problem with the bolt. It won't close down all the way. It seems that that the base of the bolt stem is a little larger then the recess opening on the receiver. Maybe by a milimeter. TJ said to send the rifle back and he'll make it right. I just may order a second one to have. These are nice looking carbines and the round shouldn't be too punishing to plink all day.

SARCO had the mags on sale, so I do have a total of 5 mags. I also saw a sight that allows me to convert the .38 super colt mags. The mags are basically in the same condition as the Numrich 1911 ones I got earlier.

This should clean up real nice, once I get it back.

Not a bad looking Destroyer.

I have two of them I got from AIM and neither has that much bluing on them. But on a plus side both of mine are all matching.
