CDNN Drag question

So I keep hearing "don't get the drags with CDNN firing pin fix" (for the .308 version)

What did this fix do (I know it added a spring to restrain the firing pin so it wouldn't fire out of battery with comercial ammo) but how was this done? And why is this fix a bad thing (shitty workmanship?)? And can it be fixed by someone else?

I have a NDM-86 in 308 with the CDNN fireing pin fix. What they have done is add a spring onto the fireing pin, this is a fix for the problem, however, this is not the correct fix http://www.dragunov.net/akexpert.html akexpert can install the correct fix. I have had some trouble with the CDNN fix. First the spring they installed is not secured well and after 10 or so shots i could see it starting to come out of the bolt carrier. After some more shooting the spring inhibited the hammer from hitting the pin. I took apart the bolt carrier and fireing pin and reinstalled the spring. 100 rounds later its flawless. Another note I have extracted a few rounds that have been chambered but not fired and looked at the primer and there is a significant dent in the primer though it did not fire so I would suggest that you have a fix done be it akexpert or the CDNN fix.
