Question For Vets......

I have a question that I would like for some vets to settle for me. My friend and I are going to do some shooting this weekend. We were sitting around tonight loading AR magazines and placing them in our web gear.

My question is this: How exactly do the mags go into the USGI ammo pouches? I say that they go in with the lips down and the primers facing the body, essentially upside down. He says that they go in with the lips right side up with the primers facing against the body. So who is right? Do the magazines go in with the lips right side up or upside down?

the mags go in as you say, upside down...rounds facing away.....the reason is when you take it out, you are grabbing it at the bottom part of the mag, and can insert into the mag well

is correct, also this prevents sand, dirt or other debries from entering the mag.
