I like the rifle and the idea of a bolt action .357, but I don't like the price.

Plus, I don't have anything else that shoots .357, nor can I reload for it, so I guess I'll have to pass until they've been out long enough that I can find one secondhand.

I think it's a great idea. Wholesale should be around $570.

There are bazillions of .357 Mag revolvers out there and this is the perfect companion rifle to go with them.

I have a Marlin .357 Mag which is even better IMHO but this rifle will sell well.

The closer to $500 this rifle actually sells for, the more of a winner it will be.

I think I'd prefer a Marlin lever gun myself in that round. I'm sure somebody will like it, just not my cup -0- tea.

I've been thinking of a Marlin 357 but if these get good reviews (and if I could find one to see if I like it) I might go the bolt gun route instead.

Ghey. What will it do that a levergun won't?

I would expect the bolt action to be stronger, maybe I have bad luck but I've broke 2 butts off lever rifles over the years which has always made me leery of them as a serous use rifle.

Shoot pointy bullets since pointy bullets technically shouldn't be used in a tube fed rifle (unless it's one in the chamber and one in the mag). Don't cuss me, I just pass the info along...

If the price was right I'd like one to go with the Marlin and Martini.

Shoot 10 or 11 times without reloading.

I like the idea for small game but the lever gun does a fine job with that.

You're supposed to shoot the deer, not jump out of the stand and club it to death.

Hornady can fix you up. I would but I've never felt the need to use pointy .357 bullets. If I need more range, I step up in caliber.

But aren't Hornady's LeveRevolution bullets designed specifically for leverguns? I just don't see the point of a bolt-action .357.....particularly at only 5 rounds. The levergun will have a higher cyclic rate and larger capacity. I just don't get it.

Well for states like MI, all long-arms used for hunting must be 6rds. max. If using a handgun, you are allowed as many rounds you like.....makes sense right ?!?!?
Here's to pussy and gunpowder. One to live for, the other to die by.....Goddamn though, I do love the smell of 'em both !!!
