    This months pick-ups.

GOt these all locally as handpicks, except for the M38 that I bought myself for my birthday today for $100 at a shop I stopped in at real quick.

    All Izhevsk marked.

M38, counterbored but pristine bore all matching cept floor plate.

    1928 Hex. CCCP marked.
    1936 Hex
1935/49 Hex double date Ministry of Defense marked.
    91/30's are 100% matching
each of those were $112 OTD

All pass the bullet test easily.

Picked up one of those huge Mosin crates too for $50 .

    Very nice!

Now you just need some bayonets and a few good volunteers.

I've been thinking of getting a stack of mosins again, I could use 4 new 91/30's. I think the m38 is my favorite of the series but they seem hard to come across anymore.

I assume those all have accessory kits?

    Thumbs up

Nice ones! Congratulations. I miss the times past when the big brown truck stopped quite frequently to deliver new treasures. Nice that you have some good stuff locally. Is the M38 in a 38 stock or a 44?

I wouldn't either. Need to get my M38 and M44 out to the range again. Been years since I've shot either. Kinda miss that great big old fireball!

Congrats on the Mosins and yes those gallery rounds were a hoot. All the boom, none of the recoil.

Nice looking collection. My first bolt gun was a M44.

I also picked up one of those crates a while ago for....$50 bucks as well.

You need to pracitce up and then come shoot in next year's C&R bolt gun match. It will start in May. This years is 3/4ths over with, August is the last month then the awards in September after all the targets are sent in and scored.

Not to hijack, but how do you legally ship live ammo from person to person?

P.S. How much are gallery rounds worth?
