Okay Moe it looks like that long distance shooting stuff has scared off your shooters or they are all out of bullets. I don't have an AK but I have a Ruger Mini-14 that will kick AK butt. So I challenge you and all your AK shooters to a shoot off against the old (born in 1977), Ruger that so many of you despise with such a passion .

I shot 25 yards off hand, 50 yards sitting and the results of that one was a shock considering I could barely see the target and from the bench at 100 yards with a big old orange bullseye stapled over the top of your target so I could see what I was shooting at.

The missing shot barely clipped the paper low and right. I was a little shaky on my hind legs today.

I almost wet my pants when I saw that group. I'm shooting old Viet Nam era hardball ammo and it never shot that tight before. Did I ever mention that I hate sitting, my old body ain't designed for that position anymore unless its a recliner. I only fired these 5 shots and got out of it quick so I'm not hurting as bad as I was with the 22.

To shoot the 100 yard target I stapled a big old orange bullseye centered over this target so I would have something to shoot at. Your target was just a blank sheet of paper to me at 100 yards. The two missing shots are just off to the right and was about what I expected from previous outings with this gun and this ammo.

So can you AK shooters beat an old man with a mini-14? I bet you can't.

Well the main thing is to get out and shoot, but it seems my challange is a bit too much for people to take out their safe queens and use them for a few rounds.

You really mean you forgot which end the pointy things come out of. And you can't rembember which way the pointy things are suppsed to point when they are in the magazine. All the same way, towards the inside curve, towards the outside curve or every other one a different way but you forget which way the first one goes in.

It's like this, the only AK I have is a SAR-3. I sold off all my 7.62x39 guns. Wish I still had my SA85M as it would put 5 touching in the middle from prone or sitting. The sAR-3 will do about the same.

In, how can I be "IN" as I don't have an AK in .30 cal., only the SAR-3. Are you saying I can shoot it with my SAR-3 which is .223 caliber?

    Question

What is the diameter of the black center in inches? Reason I ask is to make sure my print out of the target is in scale. I was planning on shooting my July C&R Postal match targets tomorrow. I could take the SAR-3 along and shoot it if the SAR-3 is acceptable.

Yeah I clicked the link but my printer was chopping off the 3 and 9 O'clock sides of the outer rings. I've had to paste the image into excel so I can play with the print out size of the image on a sheet of paper.

I had the same problem. The image isn't to scale, so I had to play around with the print settings in MS Paint to get mine to work. I printed out a copy and measured the bull's eye to make sure it's correct and I got an inch and 1/8. Close enough.
