I have yet to see one snake on my place... but when I lived in the country here in TX, we saw them plenty and I found that the very best snake charmer was my little Ruger Bearcat loaded with CCI shot caps - #12 shot. From about 4', they absolutely chew a snake's head to shreds. Killed a lot of copperheads and a rattler with it.
