I have one of those conversion kits. They work okay once they are broken in. Not nearly as reliable as my Buckmark, but it gets more reliable as it is used. I had to manually cycle it over a thousand times before it would work right. The aluminum slide seems to come over sized to wear to each individual pistol. Just be patient if you get one. It's the only way I've shot my Makarov in the last couple of years.
I don't know if the $325 price tag is worth it when you can buy a fairly decent .22 pistol for about the same price.

$325? That's new Buckmark range. I paid around $200 for my conversion a couple of years ago from K-var. Seems typical of K-var, though.
Yeah, too spendy for me.

Considering I recently paid $250 for a like new Ruger charger with scope it seems a bit high to me as well.
I'd use the money to buy another Makarov, or something of the same ilk.
$325 will buy a lot of 9X18 from Midway or J&G

I found out shortly after posting, there were only 4 units available.

Isn't the whole idea of these conversion units so that you can shoot your firearm more cheaply for training? A $325 price tag somewhat defeats the purpose.
